I couldn't have asked for a better solar installation process. Sutro Power was the only solar installation company that didn't try to upsell me or use gross pressure-y sales tactics to get me to sign up right this minute; they even recommended against a more expensive system and electrical upgrade. JP took lots of time to answer all my questions, sent me a quote right away, and followed up within a week or two to see if I was interested in working with them. They coordinated with my roofing company to make sure everything happened in the right order and got everything in despite weeks of terrible weather. Vargas coordinated the whole process and was fantastic at communicating with me to make sure everything went smoothly. I'm pretty sure I got to talk with every person who works at Sutro Power, and they were all professional, laid back, and nice to talk to. As a bonus, the company is owner-partner operated, and local to San Francisco--given the choice, I'm always happier supporting local, community-operated businesses. You really can't go wrong with Sutro Power--give them a call, you'll be so pleasantly surprised if you've talked to basically any other solar installer in the area.

The folks at Sutro Power are hands-down the best contractors I've ever worked with. Their intentional over-communication was especially always appreciated, and when supply chain issues struck, they checked in with me frequently to ensure the materials they used met my specific needs and desires. Their prices were always competitive, they worked with me on a video call to finalize the design and layout after giving me over half a dozen initial design options, and the installation work was precise, clean, and thorough. I would recommend them with no reservations to anyone interested in installing rooftop solar.

It takes a team and a great organization to get the job done right. Great group of young, energetic, smart guys. They installed my solar quickly and knowledgably. They hid all the wires in my attic so I did not have to have conduit on the side of my house. They also connected me to Enphase which allows me to check on the solar output any time I wish. Highly recommend them. I tried using Tesla but the experience quickly became a nightmare. Once I settled on Sutro Power I never looked back.
